bad check enforcement program
The District Attorney’s Office contracts the Bad Check
Enforcement Program to a private vendor. The vendor investigates individuals
who fail to participate in the opportunity to pay back the monies lost by
individuals who they victimized with bad checks, or who fail to live up to
the requirements of the Bad Check Enforcement Program. The vendor submits
requests for criminal complaints for the charge of Section 476(a) of the
Penal Code to the Colusa County District Attorney’s Office. The request for
complaint is then reviewed by a prosecutor. Details of the Bad Check
Enforcement Program are located on their Web Site:
Colusa County.
